Celebrity Portrait Reveal 2024
The annual Celebrity Portrait Reveal is one of the highlights in the BDAS calendar. We are now in our 14th year and it is always a fabulous event for our special guests and attendees. Each year we get bigger and better. For 2024 we have a number of wonderful special features to engage and entertain everyone.
We have been very fortunate this year to secure Costa Georgiadis as our celebrity for 2024. Costa Georgiadis is an Australian author, landscape architect, environmental educator and TV presenter. Costa is the host of ABC television series Gardening Australia.
He will be in conversation with BDAS patron, Ben Quilty.
Four well known artists, Kate Stevens, Jody Graham, Evan Shipard and Justin Pearson, were invited to paint and draw Costa. They met with Costa at a painting day at the BDAS studios on the 21st July. These portraits will be revealed at our special fund-raising event held at the Centennial Vineyards, Bowral for up to 200 guests.
Some of our previous sitters have been Ita Buttrose, Charlie Albone, Ben Quilty, Noeline Brown, Leo Sayer and John Waters.
The Gala event will be held on Sunday, 15 September Centennial Vineyards, Bowral. We have some other special items organised for the day and it is shaping up to be a fabulous event.
Guests are invited to wear "A touch of green"

After the event the portraits will be featured in a window display at the Bookshop Bowral in the main street.

Fine Art Auction
A fabulous highlight at the Celebrity Portrait Reveal is a live FINE ART AUCTION.
We have been kindly donated works by some of our leading Australian artists...Ben Quilty, Cherry Hood,
Glen Preece, Elaine Musgrave, Clara Adolphs and Sonja Bowden.
The art will be auctioned by Justin Miller.
Justin is one of Australia’s most trusted art advisors and has been instrumental in the sale of many of Australia’s most iconic artworks.
Celebrity Portrait Reveal Silent Auction
Along with our Fine Art Auction we also have a Silent Auction with a host of fantastic items on offer. There is something for everyone. These prizes are now online. Shoppers are welcome to place a bid by emailing the BDAS office prior to the Celebrity Portrait Reveal on the 15th September. Guests and non-attendees are welcome to place a bid.
